Privacy Policy

The Law Offices of Hilda Sibrian (“the Firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates hildasibrian.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what choices you have.

We have written this in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, contact us using the details at the end and we will explain it.

Submitting a form or calling us does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential or time-sensitive case details through this website until we have agreed in writing to represent you. Information you send before that point may not be protected by attorney-client privilege.

1. Information you give us

You choose whether to give us this. We collect it when you fill out a contact or case-review form, call us, text us, or email us.

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and mailing address.
  • Case details — whatever you choose to tell us about your accident, injury, employer, insurer, or circumstances. This often includes health information.
  • Preferred language — so that we can respond to you in English or Spanish.
  • Communication preferences — including whether you have opted in to receive text messages from us.

We do not collect payment card numbers, bank account details, passwords, or login credentials through this website. We represent clients on a contingency-fee basis, and this site has no user accounts or login area.

2. Information collected automatically

Some information is collected by our servers and by third-party tools whenever you visit, whether or not you ever contact us:

  • Your IP address, and the general location it suggests — typically a city or region, not a street address
  • Your browser type and version, operating system, device type, and screen size
  • The page, search, or advertisement that referred you to us
  • The pages you view on our site, how long you spend on them, and the links you click
  • The date and time of your visit

Section 5 lists the specific tools involved. These tools begin operating as soon as you open a page on our site. Section 5 also explains how to limit them.

3. Health and other sensitive information

Because we represent injured people, the information you send us often describes your physical or mental health, your medical treatment, and your disability status. Several privacy laws treat this as sensitive information deserving additional protection, and we agree.

We collect this information only when you volunteer it. We use it only to evaluate and handle your potential claim. We do not use health or case information for advertising, we do not build advertising audiences from it, and we do not sell it.

The only information we pass to advertising platforms for measurement is the anonymous click identifier attached to an ad you clicked. That identifier tells us which advertisement led to a contact. It carries no case details, no health information, and no contact details.

4. How we use information

  • To respond to your inquiry and evaluate whether we can help with your case
  • To communicate with you about your case if we represent you
  • To send text messages you have asked to receive
  • To operate, secure, and improve this website
  • To understand which marketing channels bring people to us, and whether our advertising works
  • To show our advertisements to people on other websites, apps, and streaming services
  • To meet our legal, ethical, and professional obligations as licensed attorneys

We do not sell your personal information for money.

6. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not give your case details to anyone for their own marketing.

We share information in these situations:

  • Service providers. The companies listed in Section 5, along with our email, hosting, and IT support providers. They act on our instructions and may not use your information for their own purposes, except as described in their own policies for the advertising and analytics platforms listed above.
  • Co-counsel and referrals. Some matters are better handled by another firm, or handled jointly. We may share your information with co-counsel or a referral firm, consistent with our professional obligations and with your knowledge.
  • Your case team. If we represent you, we may share information with investigators, medical providers, expert witnesses, court reporters, and others working on your claim.
  • Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, court order, or our obligations as licensed attorneys.
  • Safety and rights. Where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to prevent harm, investigate suspected fraud, or protect our legal rights.

We never share your text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

If you become our client, your information receives greater protection than this policy describes. Attorney-client privilege and the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct impose confidentiality duties on us that go well beyond ordinary privacy law.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or strip out the details that identify you. Backup archives may hold copies for a period before they cycle out.

8. How we protect information

We use administrative and technical safeguards to protect information, including encryption of data traveling to and from this site. Access to case information is limited to Firm personnel who need it to do their jobs.

No system is perfectly secure. Please do not send highly sensitive information through an unencrypted email or a web form. Call us at 713-714-1414 instead.

9. Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through this website.

Parents and guardians are of course welcome to contact us about a minor’s injury claim. In that situation we collect the minor’s information from the adult acting on their behalf. If you believe a child has submitted information to us directly, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights

Everyone. You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@sibrianlaw.com or write to the address below. We will respond within 45 days, and will tell you if we need additional time.

Some information cannot be deleted on request — for example, records we are required to retain as attorneys, or information needed for an active claim or an existing legal obligation.

Texas residents. You may confirm whether we process your personal data, access it, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, and opt out of targeted advertising and profiling. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision in writing. We will respond to an appeal within 60 days, and if we deny it we will tell you how to submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General.

California residents. You may ask what personal information we collect and why, request deletion or correction, opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and limit our use of sensitive personal information. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Because we use advertising pixels, some of our activity may qualify as “sharing” under California law. To opt out, email info@sibrianlaw.com with the subject line “Do Not Share My Personal Information,” or use the browser and industry opt-out methods in Section 5.

California residents may also request, once a year and free of charge, information about personal information we disclosed to third parties for their direct marketing purposes under California Civil Code Section 1798.83.

Text messages. Reply STOP to any message from us to opt out. Message and data rates may apply.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change, and will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. If we make significant changes, we will post a notice on the site.
